Meet the Team

As a third-generation business active since 1946, B&C Steel knows the value of great employees. We are a family business, and our staff is truly family, some having been with us for over a quarter of a century.

 Jim Reinhardt, Owner

Jim joined the family business in 1983 as a local salesman and manager. In 2009 he became the sole owner of B&C Steel. He enjoys spending time with his family and grandchildren, maintaining acreage, traveling, golfing, and anything Huskers.

Lewis Reinhardt, Metal Buildings Manager

A native of Scottsbluff, Lewis grew up in the family business. In 1999 he began working summers in the shop and has experience as a welder, on the warehouse floor, shearing, components, sales work and management. Lewis enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. His hobbies include golfing, shooting, hunting, traveling and Husker football.

Dustin Jones, Business Controller

Prior to joining B&C, Dustin Jones was a systems and analytics manager for an international mortgage bank. He is a native of Scottsbluff, NE. He enjoys golf, hunting, playing the guitar and spending time with his wife and three sons.

Bary Thompson, Engineering Manager

Bary was born and raised in Scottsbluff, NE and has been a part of the B&C team since 1984. His experience includes steel building detailing, and drafting. Bary enjoys, golfing and traveling with his wife.

Levi McConkey, Steel Sales Manager

Levi has been with B&C since 2012. During his tenure, he has worked in the warehouse, steel sales, and purchasing. Levi is from Gering, NE. He enjoys golf and restoring old cars.

Kelly Strey, Sales Representative

A native of Mitchell, NE, Kelly understands farming. This knowledge, combined with 17 years of sales and contracting experience with B&C, allows Kelly to effectively serve his agricultural clients. Kelly’s sales territory is Nebraska, Kansas, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

Ernie Shoup, Sales Representative

Ernie covers the New Mexico and Southern Colorado territory. He was raised in Iowa and has lived in New Mexico since 1981. Ernie has been with B&C since 1999 and has worked in the metal building industry since 1984. His experience includes building erection, Quality Control Inspector, and Customer Service, Manager. Ernie enjoys supporting local charities and youth groups and watching football, baseball, and NASCAR. He is also a member of the Masons and Scottish Rite fraternal organizations.

Chris Herron, Colorado and Wyoming Sales Representative

Chris is a native of Scottsbluff, NE and 1998 graduate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he majored in Marketing. He spent 13 years in construction management and real estate development before joining B&C Steel in 2011. Chris is a Sales Representative based in Fort Collins, CO where he provides service to B&C’s Colorado and Wyoming customers. In his free time, Chris loves all outdoor activities including skiing, running, hiking, camping, golfing, and spending time with his family.

Casey York, Estimating

Casey is from Scottsbluff, NE and has been a part of the B&C team for 14 years. He was in steel sales for seven years and then moved into cost estimating. Casey enjoys golf, basketball, and Husker football.

Bryan Johnson, Sales/Scheduling Coordinator

Bryan began working at B&C in 1996 while still in high school. After graduation, Bryan joined B&C full time as a welder and has a breadth of experience in all aspects of fabrication. He enjoys seeing the increased complexity of the buildings as demand for pre-engineered buildings grows. Bryan’s hobbies are golfing, camping, fishing and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Cory Weatherfield, Metal Building Components Warehouse Manager

Cory joined B&C in 2002 as a welder and has worked in the saw shed and as a 20′ trim break operator. He enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, snow and water skiing, Nebraska Cornhusker Athletics, and spending time with his family.

Jerry Russel, Quality Control

Jerry was raised in Gering, NE and has been with B&C for 24 years. He first started as a fabricator/welder and has spent the past 13 years in Quality Control. He enjoys motorcycles, camping, sport shooting, and boating.
